New Kids & Teaching Kinder

We recently have received several new kids. Carla and Lourdes are sisters who used to be here a long time ago, and because of problems at home have come back. They are extremely tall for their age and have enormous green eyes! Then there is the 4 kids who just break my heart, Noemi (12), Carla (9), Esmeralda (7) and Chuy (5). They have never been to school and so do not know how to read, write, or anything. They have a lot of emotional damage. The Lord will have to really do a work in their hearts to help them with the healing process. They are so very needy. Pray for us as we try to share the word with them and help them.

Today I got to experience the joy of little boys. It has been snowing today and the kindergarten teacher didn't show up, so I was the substitue. I had 4 little boys under the age of 6. Our little new boy Chuy looks just like a little doll with an enormous head and tiny legs. If Dean had not told me he had looked at his birth certificate, I would not have believed he was 5. We had a wonderful time as we played war and shoot the bad guys. Guess who was the bad guy (or girl)! I never knew 4 little boys who tackled you at once could be so strong. In the end, as should always be the case, the bad guy (or girl in this case) was locked up in the local jail with four bodyguards just waiting for her to break out. We also read books, sang songs, had our snack, and tracked in tons of mud! After that , I headed to the office where I am now trying to finish off an enormous stack of thank you letters.

Oh by the way, I got my stove hooked up and I am now enjoying the pleasure of cooking whenever I want. I am cooking breakfast every day and for dinner so far I have made chicken wings and spaghetti. It is so wonderful and a real answer to my prayers!

Anyway back to the thank you letters,
La Gringa
