Vacations

This week has been a restful and fun time for me! I am so enjoying not having any responsibilities or kids to look after. Wait take that back, the first four days of vacation one of the girls stayed with me because her mom couldn't come get her. Actually, though, it wasn't much work because she is 15 and one of my good friends here.

The guys, Paul, Eric, Matt, and Jason were at the Ranch as well, and knowing that I had food they at various times all decided to camp out in my room and look through my refrigerator. I made them breakfast and dinner one day. We all discovered that Eric never washes his socks and that Paul was turning 30 on Sunday. I had a lot of fun hanging out with them.

As for Sonia and I, we amused ourselves by staying up late watching movies and talking. On Saturday we went shopping in Juarez, and on Sunday we went to church at Communidad Christiana and then I dropped her off at her house and went to visit the family of my good friend Leydi.

Anyway tomorrow I am going to stay with a friend of mine in El Paso and then vacations will be over on Sunday. I really needed this time to relax and just hang out. I will go back to work refreshed.

I know I didn't put many interesting stories, but that is because I am working on an update and am saving them for that. I hope to have it out soon.

Well that's all for now,

Hello Again!

Wow, I am managing in all the hustle and bustle of my busy life to post again! I came into town to run some quick errands and then I am hurrying back because I have the "guard" at lunch. This basically means I keep the kids in order, decide the order of who eats first, and make sure the kids do the dishes, etc...

Tonight is chapel and I discovered early this morning that Teo was supposed to preach, but he is in Juarez at the hospital for Jair's chemotherapy. It was either I preach or find somebody else fast! The American group didn't want to do it, so I finally got Jorge to help me plan some Bible games we can play tonight with the kids.

I am very much ready for vacation time which is just around the corner. It will give me a chance to recharge!

Anyway just a little slice of my life today. Gotta run.

Back to blogging (well sorta of)!

Hello dear readers of my blog

I have not had access to internet the past few weeks. That should all change soon as we are scheduled to get DSL at the end of this month. I am very excited! It will be of great benefit to me as well as the Ranch.

My boss has been gone this past week and a half leaving me with a lot of responsibilites that I do not normally have. There have been quite a few challenges. Vehicles have broken, groups have come, and people constantly knock at my door with questions that sometimes I do not know the answer to. The Lord has been very faithful to strengthen me during this time.

Yesterday I fell out of the big fifteen passenger van (you do not want to know that story!) and sprained my ankle pretty bad. I was hobbling around on crutches for most of the day. The funniest part was when I tried to open the door of the dorm and enter at the same time and proceeded to knock myself, Norma, and Leydi down. Half the boys at the Ranch just happened to look over at that precise moment, so I will not be living that down any time soon. I had guard as well and you need to be fast as you keep track of all the girls. Even I had to laugh as I dragged myself around while the little girls scattered to and fro. All in all it was a pretty good Sunday. I am ready for Dean to return though!

Well that is all for now.
